Medefaidrin is an intentionally created sacred language associated with the Obɛri Ɔkaimɛ church, an Ibibio-speaking Christian community in southern Nigeria. In a word or line of Medefaidrin, 𖹨 carries the letter value t. The alphabet has capital and small letters, a distinction influenced by English spelling.

Community tradition places the language's revelation in 1927; a proposal to encode the script in Unicode records 1932 as another date tied to its revelation or development. The dates reflect a developing community account rather than one settled event. By 1936, the language had been finalized, and members used the script for worship, hymns, letters, and community contracts. After use declined, teaching resumed in a church Sunday school in 1986.
