What 𖩈 means
𖩈 writes a k with a puff of air. This is called an aspirated k. In the Mro alphabet, it is one consonant in a word’s spelling, not a word by itself.
The Mro alphabet was created in the 1980s by Menlay Murang, also called Manley Mro. It gave Mro, which had mainly been passed on orally, a written form. The script first spread through village teaching alongside Krama, a Mro religious movement and social system.
Why was the Mro alphabet created?
It was made to give Mro a written form. As the script entered schools and community publishing, it reached wider literacy; Khai kept its sound-writing role as the alphabet’s reach grew.
Mro was not adapted from a neighboring script. Unicode describes it as unrelated to existing scripts, so visual resemblance alone is not a reason to substitute another letter.
In Mro writing, it identifies one consonant; by itself, it has no conversational message.
Without Mro context, the reader may not know how to sound it out.
Drift: By 2026, Mro writing had moved from paper into books, magazines, smartphones, and social posts in Bangladesh; Mro speakers in parts of Myanmar also used the alphabet.

2Can 𖩈 stand for a whole Mro word?
No. It writes one consonant; the other Mro letters spell the rest of the word.
Why is 𖩈 missing or shown as a box?
The font may not include Mro letters, so it shows a missing-glyph box. Fonts that support Mro can draw the same character differently.
