What 𖩂 means
It marks one consonant, not a whole word.
Usually it sounds like the y in English “yes,” sometimes a little rougher. In Mro, separate letters spell words, so 𖩂 alone gives you one sound.
Why was the Mro alphabet created?
To give Mro a way to write its language.
A Mro folktale retold in February 2026 says the creator Thuray sent the Mro a book containing their script and teachings, but a cow ate it before it arrived. Menlay Mro introduced the alphabet in 1982 with the Krama faith. Unicode 17.0 describes Mro as unrelated to other scripts.
