What 𑧣 means
It marks spacing, joins word parts, and fills gaps. A manuscript sign could bridge an uneven or damaged writing surface, keep separated parts of one word together, or occupy blank space. It guides how written text is laid out; it does not stand for a spoken sound.
Nandinagari is a historical Indian script in the Nagari family, descended from the older Brahmi script. Its manuscripts and inscriptions are documented between the 11th and 19th centuries, especially in southern India, including Karnataka; writers used it for Sanskrit and some Kannada.
Is it the same as Devanagari’s headline?
No; it is a separate Nandinagari mark. Devanagari uses a connected top line across a written word, called shirorekha. Nandinagari letters have their own headstrokes, usually within one character; 𑧣 instead handles spacing, joining, or gaps.

Do not mistake it for Devanagari’s word-spanning headline.
