What 𐑫 means
It is the short “oo” sound, as in “book.”
The Shavian alphabet was designed to spell English by sound. Shaw publicly called for spelling reform in 1941; Kingsley Read began the alphabet in the early 1940s. After Shaw’s death, a contest made Read its sole designer. Its aim was one letter per speech sound, to save writing and printing work. In 1962, Shaw’s play Androcles and the Lion appeared in Shavian beside standard spelling.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𐑫 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
