What 𝪦 means
It selects rotation value 7 for a SignWriting base symbol.
A complete symbol follows this order: base, optional fill modifier, then rotation modifier. The base supplies the sign component; 𝪦 sets its orientation. This character cannot identify a handshape, movement, face, or whole sign by itself.
DanceWriting began in 1966 as notation for ballet steps. In 1974, researchers at the University of Copenhagen asked Valerie Sutton to adapt it for recording sign languages from video. Feedback from Deaf writers in the early 1980s helped SignWriting grow into a general-purpose writing system.
Why can 𝪦 look blank alone?
Because it is a modifier with no base symbol to rotate.
Unicode encodes 𝪦 as a modifier but does not define the full two-dimensional SignWriting layout. On its own, it cannot form a complete sign in a regular text line. Use a SignWriting-aware font or editor to display the full notation.
Technical notation used inside SignWriting, not a conversational symbol.
Alone, 𝪦 is a rotation setting, not a complete sign.

1Why does 𝪦 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
