What 𝤅 means
It marks one gentle contact involving the hand. SignWriting uses this touch single mark when hands touch each other or when a hand touches the body. Other symbols show the hand’s shape, body location, and movement; their arrangement shows where the touch happens within the sign.
SignWriting grew from DanceWriting, a way Valerie Sutton developed to write down ballet steps in 1966. In 1974, researchers at the University of Copenhagen asked her to adapt it to record sign-language movements and gestures from video. That adaptation became a writing system for sign languages.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𝤅 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Sutton SignWriting block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
