What ⌳ means
Slope describes how much height changes over a horizontal distance. A ramp, for example, gains height as it runs along the ground. Its slope compares that rise with the horizontal distance covered.
Where a drawing gives rise to horizontal distance as 1:10, that means one unit of height for every ten horizontal units. That is a 10% slope, not an angle of ten degrees. The symbol ⌳ alone does not specify a ratio, percentage or angle; read the measurement and the drawing’s notation together.
