What ᪓ means
It appears in Buddhist writing, then in secular genres too.
Tai Tham was used for Buddhist texts, including Pali, a language of Buddhist scripture. The earliest dated evidence is a Sukhothai gold plaque from 1376; Lanna evidence follows in 1465 and a palm-leaf manuscript dated 1471. The script spread through Laos, Tai Khün/Shan, and Tai Lue; New Tai Lue digits adapted the Hora set.
᪓ carries the Tham set's religious or manuscript register.
