What 𖫇 means
It stands for seven in Tangsa’s decimal number system.
Tangsa decimal digits follow place value like the familiar 0–9 set. Lakhum Mossang created the script in 1990, first for his Muishvung (also called Mossang) variety, with the wider aim of writing Tangsa language varieties.
Until around 2012, it was used in handwriting by Mossang and a small group of students. Community members formed the Tangsa Script Development Committee in 2019 and promoted it publicly at the Pangsau Pass Festival in January 2020. A 2020 proposal to include the script in Unicode, the standard for digital text, describes it as unrelated to older writing systems and says active use was then limited to Muishvung.
Why is Tangsa digit seven blank on my phone?
The font on your phone may not support Tangsa.
Noto Sans Tangsa is needed for the Keyman layout’s characters to display. Many mobile devices still lack that font as of January 2026, so a box may appear where 𖫇 should be.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𖫇 show as a box on some devices?
It is recent: Unicode added it in version 14.0 (2021), and phones and computers whose fonts are older than that have nothing to draw it with. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
