What 𖫆 means

Lakhum Mossang designed the Tangsa script for literacy. In 1990, he created it for his Muishvung (also called Mossang) variety, one of the Tangsa varieties near the India–Myanmar border. He taught it by hand, using songs, a prayer, and daily records to show its role in preserving culture.

Why does the Tangsa digit show as a box?

A Tangsa-capable font may be missing. In January 2026, Translation Commons said mobile devices did not include Noto Sans Tangsa by default. Without such a font, the app can show a box instead of the Tangsa glyph.
