What 𖪋 means
An open, rounded “o” with Tone 2. The International Phonetic Alphabet—a system for writing speech sounds—uses [ɔ] for it. In Muishvung, Tone 2 is a pitch pattern that falls from mid-high and helps distinguish words. Tangsa gives each vowel-tone pair its own letter.
Lakhum Mossang created the script in 1990 for Muishvung (Mossang), his own variety. Handwritten examples of traditional songs and a prayer showed how it could preserve community culture. Tangsa covers diverse language varieties along the India–Myanmar border.
Does Tone 2 sound the same across Tangsa varieties?
No; tone contours vary by variety. Awx’s tone value follows Muishvung; related varieties may realize the same category with a different pitch contour.

1Why does 𖪋 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
