What 𖪌 means
It combines [ɯ] with tone 1. [ɯ] is made with the tongue high and back and the lips unrounded.
Can Tangsa tone 1 sound different?
Yes; pitch varies by variety. Tone 1 is low-falling in Muishvung but high in Rera (Ronrang).
Why was the Tangsa script developed?
To give Tangsa varieties a shared alphabet. Lakhum Mossang began it in 1990, independently of older scripts.
A community committee revised it in 2019, adding short-vowel letters and broadening coverage beyond Muishvung.

1Why does 𖪌 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
