What 𖩾 means
Q marks the vowel’s tone.
Gam Win’s Roman spelling uses Q for Tone 4. Tangsa has four tone-specific letters per vowel, placed after any initial consonant. In Muishvung, Eq is /e/ ending in a glottal stop (brief throat closure); tone contours vary by variety.
Lakhum Mossang began the script in 1990 for Tangsa writing and literacy, teaching by hand. Font work began around 2012; a 2019 community revision broadened it to more varieties. The committee shared its first printed text at Pangsau Pass Festival in January 2020. Unicode’s 2021 proposal says use centered on Muishvung and the script is unrelated by descent to other scripts.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𖩾 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
