Mossang made this letter for Muishvung
Lakhum Mossang created it in 1990 for Muishvung.
One Tangsa story says Rangfraa gave ancestors writing on deer skin, lost after they ate it; it is separate from Mossang’s alphabet. Mossang and students wrote it by hand until around 2012.
A committee formed in 2019 and promoted it publicly at the Pangsau Pass Festival in January 2020. Other Tangsa varieties also use Latin spellings.
