What 𘤽 means
It marks a piece within Tangut character descriptions.
An ideographic description sequence (IDS) is a written formula that shows how a character is assembled. 𘤽 can serve as one of its signs; there it is technical notation, not a complete word with a translation.
Tangut writing was created in 1036 to give Western Xia, a state in what is now northwestern China, its own script. Its design drew on the Khitan, a people with their own script, and on Chinese writing principles, but it was not derived from Chinese. Translating a large collection of Buddhist texts into Tangut was likely a major goal; a surviving manuscript, probably from the 12th or early 13th century, shows that translated secular works were written in Tangut too.
