What 𘪃 means
It is an indexing component, not a word with its own reading.
Unicode uses this Tangut component to index, describe, and analyze Tangut ideographs (written characters); it has no fixed meaning or sound of its own. The Tangut script was created in 1036 as the Tangut state took shape in northern China. It helped express a written identity distinct from Song China and support a Tangut Buddhist canon. Tangut texts covered Buddhist works, Chinese translations, military writing, and literature. The script drew on Chinese writing principles and the earlier Khitan script, a neighboring tradition, but was not derived from Chinese. A Khara-Khoto manuscript from a ruined site in Inner Mongolia probably dates to the 12th or early 13th century.
How do I type 𘪃?
Try your editor’s Unicode hexadecimal input with 18A83.
If your editor supports hexadecimal Unicode entry, type 18A83; the command varies by app. If 𘪃 appears blank or as a missing-glyph box, the text can still contain the right character: your font may lack Tangut coverage. A Tangut font can make it visible, but cannot turn this component into a complete word.
Scholarly and technical: it marks Tangut script study, character indexing, or text-rendering work.
Do not treat it as a Tangut word; it has no fixed standalone meaning or sound.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𘪃 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Tangut Components block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
