What 𗂟 means
The Tangut verb written with it means “cut.” A published grammar example uses it in a king’s threat to cut open someone’s belly and take out a pearl.
𗂟 is Tangut, not Chinese: Tangut was a distinct language, and its script drew on Chinese visual principles without deriving from Chinese writing. Introduced in 1036 for Buddhist translation and Western Xia state identity, the script also carried Confucian classics, encyclopedias, military works, and literature. A 2008 thesis records competing attributions for its designer: court official Yeli Renrong or Li Deming, father of ruler Li Yuanhao.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗂟 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
