What 𗂮 means
Use a Tangut character map or dictionary.
Ordinary keyboards do not offer a dedicated key for this historical script.
What does 𗂮 mean in Tangut?
It means “to fly” or “to take flight.”
Two Tangut dictionaries from the 12th century record the word: Wénhǎi (“Sea of Characters”), a character dictionary, and Tóngyīn (“Homophones”), a dictionary that groups entries by sound. The same gloss, “to fly,” appears for 𗿼𘝂 and 𗿼𗺂.
The Tangut-ruled Western Xia state ordered the Tangut script in 1036 for administration and Buddhist translations; its writing also distinguished the state from neighboring Song China. Tangut writing continued for centuries after Western Xia fell.
