What 𗃊 means
Its word needs a Tangut dictionary or context. “Tangut Ideograph-170CA” is Unicode’s algorithmic identifier, not an English gloss.
Li Yuanhao, ruler of Western Xia, commissioned Tangut writing in 1036 for state identity and a Buddhist canon. It later appeared in legal, official, and translated secular texts. Chinese and Khitan traditions influenced its forms, but Tangut was a distinct language. A Khara-Khoto manuscript probably dates to the 12th or early 13th century; the latest known inscription is from 1502.

1Why does 𗃊 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
