What 𗄚 means
Here it records a sound, not 主’s Chinese meaning.
Specialist references offer two reconstructions of its Tangut reading: *tśiwə¹ and *¹chwy₂.
The script was created in 1036 for Western Xia state-building and Buddhist translation. Chinese visual conventions and the Khitan script influenced its design, but Tangut remained distinct. Manuscripts from Khara-Khoto dated to the 12th or early 13th century show Tangut in official, Buddhist, and secular writing; the tradition continued after the Western Xia state ended.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗄚 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
