What 𗄡 means
It describes something burned by heat at the surface.
Li Yuanhao, ruler of the Western Xia state (Xixia), ordered Tangut writing in 1036 for state-building and translation. It also carried Buddhist texts; a surviving manuscript dates to the 12th or early 13th century.
Tangut is a separate script for the Tangut language, though it follows Chinese writing principles. Whether earlier Khitan scripts influenced it remains debated.
