What 𗄩 means
It means “to pass through” in Tangut.
The Sea of Writing, a mid-12th-century Tangut dictionary arranged by sound patterns, includes this character.
Why does 𗄩 look like a Chinese character?
Tangut is its own script, shaped but not derived from Chinese writing.
The Western Xia ruler Li Yuanhao ordered the Tangut script’s creation in 1036. It helped govern the state, supported Buddhist scripture translation, and marked a distinct Tangut identity. Tangut rulers followed the earlier example of neighboring Khitan rulers, who had created writing systems of their own. Tangut texts included Buddhist scriptures, Confucian works, encyclopedias, military writing, and literature.
Use it when quoting Tangut texts or writing about the Tangut language.
Its Chinese-inspired shape does not make 𗄩 a Chinese character.

1Why does 𗄩 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
