What 𗉓 means
A Tangut dictionary glosses 𗉓 as “house.”
A Tangut word list groups 𗉓 and 𗉣 under the same reconstructed pronunciation—scholars’ estimate of their old sound. The latter is glossed “scheme, idea,” so the entries share a sound, not a meaning.
When was Tangut writing created?
Western Xia’s first emperor, Jingzong, ordered a script for Tangut around 1036.
Tangut was the state language in what is now northwestern China. The script served government, Buddhist works, and literature. After the Mongol conquest in the 13th century, Tangut writing continued under the Yuan and Ming dynasties; it became obsolete by the end of the Ming dynasty.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗉓 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
