What 𗊶 means
Its dictionary glosses are “thin white silk” and “plain color.”
Why does Tangut writing resemble Chinese?
Tangut was inspired by Chinese writing, but it is a separate script.
In 1036, Emperor Li Yuanhao introduced Tangut writing for Western Xia state-building, Buddhist texts, and a distinct identity from Song China. Nearby Khitan people had earlier created two scripts; one drew heavily on Chinese writing.
An undated Tangut fragment from Khara-khoto in Inner Mongolia probably dates to the 12th or early 13th century.
Historical, scholarly vocabulary.
Without Tangut font coverage, it may appear blank or as a replacement box.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗊶 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Tangut block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
