What 𗌗 means
It is glossed “buy” in Tangut; scholars reconstruct its reading as po. Li Fanwen indexes it as LFW2008-1869, with Chinese 買 (“buy”) as the gloss; 買 is a translation aid, not the Tangut glyph.
The Western Xia state created the Tangut script around 1036 for administration and Buddhist translation. The earliest dated surviving writing may be from 1070–1071. Tangut characters drew on Chinese writing, but most were not copied directly from Chinese characters. Tangut writing continued after Western Xia ended, with evidence through 1502.

1Why does 𗌗 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
