What 𗌰 means
It marks alternation, repetition, or succession.
A Chinese dictionary gloss, 迭, covers taking turns, replacement, and recurrence. A Buddhist manuscript records 𗌰 in a family name.
After the Mongols conquered Western Xia, Tangut writing survived under the Yuan and Ming dynasties, becoming obsolete by the end of the Ming dynasty. It drew visual inspiration from Chinese writing but remained a distinct script developed near Khitan scripts. Later works included Chinese classics, encyclopedias, military texts, and literature. Tangut was originally written vertically in columns read from top to bottom and right to left; scholars rediscovered the script in the late 19th century.

1Why does 𗌰 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
