What 𗌵 means
The Unicode name is a catalog label, not a translation.
Western Xia emperor Li Yuanhao commissioned Tangut writing in 1036 to strengthen the state and prepare Buddhist scripture in Tangut. It also marked an identity distinct from Song China.
Tangut writing drew on Chinese script and followed earlier Khitan script-making. “Tangut Ideograph-17335” is a script-and-code label, not a translation or pronunciation; a Tangut text or dictionary supplies the reading. These script-level ties do not prove that 𗌵 derives from a specific Chinese or Khitan character.
