What 𗍈 means
It means “eyelid” in the Tangut language.
The Tangut script, also called the Xixia script, was created around 1036 under the first Western Xia emperor. It was designed to write Tangut for the state’s official and cultural life; surviving texts include records, inscriptions, books, manuscripts, and Buddhist writings.
The script remained in use during the Yuan and Ming periods, then became obsolete. It was rediscovered in the late 19th century.
Why does 𗍈 look different or disappear?
The code point stays fixed, but fonts affect what you see.
Unicode 16.0.0 documents source-based Tangut glyph variants, so fonts can draw the same character in different ways. A font without Tangut coverage may show a blank square.
A Tangut-capable font is needed to display the character, whether it is already in a text or entered with a specialized input method.
Historical and specialist; in an everyday message it suggests interest in Tangut or typography.
A bare 𗍈 is not a ready-made eyelid or sleep reaction.

Questions people ask
3Is 𗍈 an emoji?
No. It is a Tangut text character, and its rendered shape comes from the font rather than emoji artwork.
How do you pronounce 𗍈?
Li Fanwen’s scholarly reconstruction writes its Tangut reading as kjow¹; this is not a modern Mandarin pronunciation.
Why is 𗍈 showing as a square?
The displayed font has no Tangut glyph for it. A font with Tangut coverage can display the text character.
