What 𗍧 means
It means “tub,” a container for water.
The 12th-century Tóngyīn (“Homophones”), a sound dictionary that groups Tangut characters by pronunciation, records this sense. Li Fanwen’s dictionary does too.
Created around 1036 under Western Xia’s first emperor, Tangut writing served a kingdom founded in 1038. Its forms drew on Chinese characters but wrote a distinct language. Tangut texts include records, laws, translations from Chinese and Buddhist writings. Its use continued under the Yuan and Ming dynasties, with examples dating as late as 1502.
