What 𗎓 means
The exact word needs its dictionary entry or surrounding text.
Unicode’s Tangut file (2025-07-30) cites a dictionary, not an English translation. If 𗎓 shows as a box, your font may lack the glyph; the text may still contain the character.
Created by imperial order in 1036–1037, the Tangut script, also called Xixia script, served the Western Xia state in government and Buddhist translation; its native writing also distinguished Tangut culture from Song China. It took its model of state writing from the Khitan people and drew on Chinese writing principles, but Tangut text is not readable as Chinese. A Khara-khoto manuscript from the 12th or early 13th century translates a Chinese history text; later Buddhist, legal, translated, and literary texts survive. The latest known inscription dates to 1502.
Historical and specialist: it reads as a Tangut writing sample.
A Chinese-like shape does not make it readable as Chinese.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗎓 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
