What 𗏭 means
It means “land” in Tangut.
A Tangut–Chinese dictionary glosses 𗏭 as “land”; its Unicode name is a code label, not a translation.
Commissioned in 1036 under the Tangut ruler Li Yuanhao, the script supported the Western Xia state and its identity. It also carried Buddhist translations, laws, civic works, and original writing. Chinese and Khitan scripts influenced its design, but Tangut is a distinct script for the Tangut language. The 1036 date belongs to the script, not a securely dated first appearance of 𗏭.
If 𗏭 appears as a box, your font lacks Tangut coverage.
𗏭 is Tangut, not Chinese; resemblance does not make the scripts interchangeable.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗏭 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
