1038/6136

What 𗐍 means

Li Fanwen’s dictionary gives “cover” as its gloss. Its 2008 index records that entry. Tangut writing served the Western Xia state, then carried official and Buddhist texts through the Yuan and Ming periods. Its character forms use structures also found in Chinese writing, while Tangut remained a distinct system.

A historical Tangut word; a one-word gloss cannot translate a whole passage.
