What 𗑅 means
It represents a sound in Tangut writing.
Li Fanwen’s dictionary places entry 2897 under “a transliteration”; its radical index maps 𗑅 there and gives the scholarly reconstructed reading diə. Transliteration writes a word’s sounds in another script, so this label describes the character’s writing role.
The Tangut script was developed under the Western Xia state around 1036 to write the Tangut language. It appears in official records and Buddhist texts. After Western Xia fell in 1227, it continued under the Yuan and Ming dynasties. The latest datable Tangut materials known are two Buddhist pillars erected in 1502, inscribed with a dhāraṇī, a sacred recitation.

1Why does 𗑅 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
