What 𗓜 means
A Tangut dictionary links it to a word for a vertical flute.
Li Fanwen’s 2008 Tangut dictionary pairs it with Chinese 簫, the name of a vertical flute. This is a dictionary gloss, not a certain word-for-word translation.
Formally introduced in 1036 for the Western Xia kingdom’s official and cultural life, the script was rediscovered in the late 19th century. It later became chiefly a subject of study for scholars and students.
