What 𗔌 means
It is glossed “shoes” in Tangut.
Li Fanwen’s dictionary assigns this gloss to the exact glyph; “Tangut Ideograph-1750C” is Unicode’s identifier, not a translation.
The script was created to write the Tangut language. It continued in use during the Yuan and Ming dynasties and became obsolete by the end of the Ming dynasty.
What does it mean if someone sends 𗔌?
Context decides whether “shoes” is meant literally.
The glyph alone cannot show whether the sender means actual footwear or is pointing to the character.
A missing box means the active font lacks Tangut support. A font that includes Tangut characters can display it.
Historical and specialist; using it as shorthand assumes your reader knows Tangut.
The “shoes” gloss does not make it a general footwear icon.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗔌 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
