What 𗔬 means
A Tangut dictionary glosses it as “a surname.”
The Tangut script was developed for the Western Xia state (Xixia) in the eleventh century. It served official records, literature, and Buddhist texts. An official document from 1072 is an early surviving example; a 1502 inscription shows use after Western Xia fell in 1227.
This belongs to Tangut writing, a historical system distinct from Chinese. “Surname” is its Tangut gloss, not a Chinese reading.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗔬 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Tangut block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
