What 𗔭 means
“Sound” or “echo,” according to Tangut dictionaries.
Created around 1036 under Western Xia’s first emperor, Tangut writing served the Tangut language and state identity. A 1982 study suggests its design drew on Chinese and Khitan writing, though Tangut remained a separate script. It carried Buddhist, Confucian, military, and literary translations and remained in use through the Yuan and Ming periods.
A box or replacement mark means the active font lacks Tangut coverage. Noto Serif Tangut is one font that supports it.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗔭 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Tangut block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
