What 𗔰 means
Tangut dictionaries gloss 𗔰 as “milk.”
Li Fanwen’s Tangut dictionary lists it under entry 4834 (L2008-4834).
Tangut was the writing system of Western Xia, also called Xixia. The state promulgated it in 1036 under Li Yuanhao as part of state-building, including a Buddhist canon and a distinct written identity. Surviving texts include Confucian, military, and literary works; Khara-khoto preserves manuscripts from around the 12th or early 13th century. The 1036 date is for the script, not this character’s first appearance.
Historical and specialist: this character belongs in Tangut texts, dictionaries, and language study.
