What 𗗤 means

Li Fanwen’s Tangut dictionary glosses it as “to combine.”

Western Xia ruler Li Yuanhao promulgated Tangut writing in 1036 for state-building. It served government writing and a Buddhist canon; surviving books include translations from Chinese and Tibetan, laws, classics, and practical texts.

Tangut writing drew inspiration from Chinese characters and developed near earlier Khitan scripts, but it represents a distinct language and writing system.
