What 𗗦 means
In Tangut legal records, it marks a price.
A Western Xia tax seal issued by the Bureau of Transaction Tax begins with 𗗦𗗥𘎵𘍞, a four-character label read right to left: “price, market, tax, office.” A land-sale contract also uses 𗗦 for the agreed payment.
Western Xia emperor Li Yuanhao ordered Tangut writing in 1036 for state-building, government, and Buddhist translation. The earliest surviving document dates to 1072. Writing continued after Western Xia fell in 1227; a Tangut inscription from 1502 survives. Tangut drew on Chinese writing but remained distinct; Khitan influence is debated.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗗦 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
