What 𗗻 means
It marks Tangut’s dog-year sign.
Its Tangut reading is romanized as na. In the traditional Chinese twelve-sign cycle, 戌 is paired with dog; 𗗻 itself is a Tangut character, not a Chinese character.
Tangut writing was created around 1036 for Western Xia government and Buddhist translation. It continued in books and inscriptions after the state fell; around 1036 dates the script, not this individual character.
A historical and scholarly calendar character.
If it appears as a box, your font lacks Tangut coverage.

1Questions people ask
1Why does 𗗻 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Tangut block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
