What 𗘠 means
It is a Tangut character glossed as “curtain” or “cloth screen.”
Scholars give its reconstructed Tangut pronunciation as rjijr². This is a scholarly notation, not a modern speech guide.
Western Xia commissioned the Tangut script in 1036 for state-building and Buddhist translation. The earliest transmitted Tangut document dates to 1072. Its design drew on Chinese writing and the Khitan people's writing system; an inscription dated 1502 shows Tangut writing continued after the state ended.
Historical and scholarly; this reading is reconstructed.
Without a Tangut font, it may appear as an empty box.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗘠 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Tangut block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.

𗘠\17620Why is 𗘠 a box on my screen?
fsymbols draws rare signs with its own fonts, so they show here even where your device has none. An app or website without such a font shows an empty box (□) or a question mark instead. Turn our fonts off to see each sign as your device draws it by itself: a box here means a box in your chats and documents too.
