What 𗙨 means
The references locate it, but do not translate it.
The Sea of Writing (Wenhai) is a Tangut rhyme dictionary. It files 𗙨 in Rhyme 74. A Tangut text index links it to dictionary entry L1650; that number is a locator, not a translation.
Why was Tangut script created?
It was made for state use in Western Xia.
Created around 1036–1037, it survives in an official document from 1072 and in Buddhist translations. After Western Xia fell in 1227, Tangut writing continued in religious texts; an inscription dates to 1502. Its square forms show Chinese influence; a Khitan link is disputed.
Historical writing, encountered mainly in specialist contexts.
A Chinese-like outline does not make 𗙨 a Chinese character.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗙨 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
