What 𗚔 means
Its Chinese gloss is “shadow” or “image.” Li Fanwen’s index gives the Chinese gloss as 影 and transcribes the reconstructed Tangut reading as lwr.
Traditional accounts date the script’s creation to 1036. Western Xia used it for official texts and translations from Chinese and Tibetan, including printed Buddhist books. After the state fell, Tangut continued in manuscripts; one late example is dated 1502.
Historical and specialist; its gloss depends on reading Tangut.
Here 影 is a Chinese gloss, not the Tangut character’s pronunciation.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗚔 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
