What 𗛝 means
By itself, 𗛝 is best glossed as “wood” or “tree.” Some dictionaries list “plum,” but a 2023 analysis reads the Tangut phrase 𗤰𗛝𗤻 as “sour tree flower”; 𗛝 supplies the “wood/tree” part.
Created around 1036 under Western Xia’s first emperor, Tangut is a distinct script for the Tangut language despite its Chinese-like look. It remained in use after the state fell, through Yuan and Ming rule, became obsolete by the Ming’s end, and was rediscovered in the late 19th century.

1Why does 𗛝 look different in different fonts?
They can. Tangut sources preserve variant drawings; Unicode 17.0 unifies forms that do not distinguish characters within a source, so fonts may show different representatives.
