What 𗜰 means
It labels a Tangut rhyme group. The Sea of Writing is a 12th-century phonological dictionary: a rhyme is the vowel and ending sound of a syllable. Its head characters name sound groups, so 𗜰 serves as a reference label here, not an everyday word.
Why does 𗜰 look like Chinese writing?
Tangut is a distinct script, modeled partly on Chinese and Khitan writing.
Development began under Li Deming in the early 11th century, and his son Li Yuanhao standardized the script. The Tangut-led Western Xia kingdom (1038–1227) used it to write Tangut. A Tangut Buddhist canon was printed in 1307; by the late 1330s, the language had largely fallen out of everyday use.
Scholarly and archival; in the Sea of Writing, it labels a Tangut sound group.
Its resemblance to Chinese does not give it a Chinese reading.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗜰 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
