What 𗡃 means
The recorded reading gives a sound, not a word gloss. A Tangut lexicon records 𗡃 as tshej², a scholarly Latin-letter reconstruction of its pronunciation.
Tangut writing was created around 1036 for the Tangut language of Western Xia (Xixia), a state in northwestern China. Its forms drew on Chinese writing but made up a separate script. Texts continued after Western Xia fell in 1227, into the Yuan and Ming periods; a 1502 inscription is among the latest known.
Why does 𗡃 look different?
Fonts can draw one character with different outlines. The Unicode Standard 17.0.0 records variant Tangut glyph forms in historical sources; font designs may follow different forms. An outline change alone does not make a different character.
This reads as historical or specialist Tangut material.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗡃 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Tangut block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
