What 𗡤 means
Enter the Tangut character 𗡤 with Unicode input.
Your font also needs Tangut coverage; a standard emoji keyboard will not offer this text character.
What does 𗡤 mean in Tangut?
It means “to seek” or “to search.”
A Tangut dictionary glosses this exact character that way. In a standalone modern message, that historical word may not be understood without Tangut context.
When did Tangut writing begin?
The script was introduced in 1036 under Emperor Li Yuanhao.
The Tangut script supported Western Xia state-building, distinguished the kingdom from Song China, and was used for a Buddhist canon. Its structure drew on Chinese writing, but Tangut characters encode Tangut words and cannot simply be read as Chinese. The latest known Tangut text is dated 1502.
Historical and scholarly; use it in Tangut text or when discussing the script.
Do not read it as a modern search command.
