What 𗡾 means
It is the Tangut word glossed “to like.”
A Tangut–English dictionary lists 𗡾 as entry 2963 and glosses it “to like”; the Unicode chart maps the character to that entry. Unicode’s name for it is a catalog label, not a translation.
Created in 1036 under Western Xia ruler Li Yuanhao, Tangut writing helped mark a state distinct from Song China. It drew on Chinese writing and earlier Khitan precedent, but the scripts are mutually unreadable; Tangut signs are not pictures. Texts include Buddhist, Confucian, military, and literary works. A manuscript from Khara-Khoto in Inner Mongolia probably dates to the twelfth or early thirteenth century; Tangut writing is attested through 1502.
Historical and specialist: it fits a Tangut quotation, gloss, or script discussion.
Its Chinese-inspired shape does not make it readable as Chinese.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗡾 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Tangut block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
